Dementia was identified by the forum members as the prioriy topic with the clearest need for action. The overall aim is to improve the care of sufferers. The group has submitted responses to the Nuffield Council consultation on the Bioethics of dementia and the National Dementia Strategy and assisted in planning the Ministerial Summit on Dementia research (organised by the MRC and Department of Health). The group is now represented on the Ministerial Advisory Group for Dementia Research (MAGDR).
The group's 'Terms of Reference' can be viewed here.
