The Centre for Policy on Ageing

The CPA is an independent centre of research and reference and it's work is primarily directed towards informing and influencing service providers, the fundamental touchstone of its approach being to discover and advocate what older people themselves want and need.

CPA also provides a wide range of resources including:

• The Reference Library , which is open to the public by appointment, covers the social, behavioural, health, and to a lesser extent the medical aspects of older age.
• AgeInfo, which is an information service about old age and ageing provided by the Library and Information Service of the CPA
• The National Database of Ageing Research which is the Centre for Policy on Ageing's database of research into ageing and older people, the focus of which is on current and ongoing research.
